About Sticks And Stones

Sticks and Stones is a furniture gallery in Chicago, specializing in American primitive, rustic and cottage décor. We feature one-of-a-kind pieces with clean lines and the warmth and beauty of natural wood. We are constantly scouring the countryside searching for these wonderful pieces filled with history and personality dating from 1850 though the early 1900’s. Each piece is restored and the original patinas are preserved with wax or a light coat of varnish.

The furniture is always personally selected and judged on the function as well as the esthetic value. We usually have a selection of carpenter’s trunks that were originally used for carrying and storing tools and each piece was custom build by the carpenter. These trunks now serve as coffee tables, end tables or blanket storage at the end of the bed. Benches are another of our staples and can be used for extra seating and well as side tables. Chicken roosts are a charming way to store office odds and ends, toys, guest towels in a bathroom or as a unique centerpiece. These are just a few examples of the many functions of our furniture.

These eclectic treasures blend well with urban environments as well as country, cottage and rustic décor. Please feel free to stop in and see our collection.
